With so many options on the market and a very big competition, NovaBackup 10 still keeps the good work. Of course there are many features included in the newest NovaBackup that all the backup programs already have, for example: file backup, email backup, online backup, disk image, and so on, but NovaBackup has added some other features that represent a bonus for the user. For example, the license includes one year of 2 GB online space to store files, this feature also gives the flexibility to recover data via FTP (File Transfer Protocol) anywhere with a user and password. The Disk Imaging Disaser Recovery Feature takes a “snap shot” of the entire system, so, if needed, the data can be restored from a disk, enabling any workstation or a server, setting up the equipment quickly as it was before the problem occurred. This reduces dead time. The open File backup is a very useful tool in this package, since it backs up open files. This is not found very often in other backup programs, as open files are not easy to backup.
With the "Email Report" feature, IT specialists or managers can be informed about when a backup has been finished. A virus scanner update is included in this version to avoid backing up infected files. Using the Network Drive Backup option, the user can backup any drive on the network that he/she has access to. It is also compatible with many backup devices including the new Blue Ray drives.
